SAP ERP Human Capital Management (HCM) is an integrated personnel management system that is used to map the hierarchical structures of a company and the relationships contained therein, as well as to manage, promote and payroll employees. The SAP HCM module supports your HR department in both operational and strategic tasks.


In HCM, a distinction is made between company structure, organisational structure and personnel structure. The company structure comprises the legal and financial structures of a company. The organisational structure is defined by the dynamic model of a company's organisational structure. The personnel structure is less hierarchical than rational and organises employees into groups. In Human Capital Management, categorising employees into the structures of a company is the first step in recording personnel data.

Transition to the Cloud

Geconex offers customers the necessary services for the ‘transition to the cloud’.

 

Many customers currently use SAP HCM on-premise and have the need to also use new cloud-based solutions from SAP SucessFactors. The decision for cloud-based solutions corresponds to a technology change in the sense of ‘transition to the cloud’. There are several reasons in favour of such a ‘transition to the cloud’.

 

SAP SuccessFactors solutions can be connected to the SAP HCM on-premise system using standard interfaces. You can find out more about this so-called talent hybrid approach and about SuccessFactors HXM and other approaches at SAP SuccessFactors HXM.

 

Even if there are good reasons in favour of cloud-based software, SAP HCM on-premise solutions will continue to be used, at least for a certain transitional period. Geconex will therefore continue to introduce SAP HCM on-premise solutions and support these solutions for as long as they are supported and further developed by SAP.
